The Living Math Room

Bringing middle school math to life through classical education. Rooted in narration, dialogue, and wonder, this space is shaped by my work as I continue to grow in the field of technology integration, always with a focus on preserving the heart of teaching and the depth of learning. This is a place for reflection, curiosity, and the thoughtful blending of timeless methods with emerging tools.

About Me

My photo
Ellie Banuelos
I am a teacher of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math with over 16 years of classroom experience. I am passionate about integrating classical education into modern math instruction and believe that math is more than a set of rules. It is a language of logic, beauty, and connection. In my classroom, you will find Socratic dialogue, narration, visual modeling, and rich problem solving that encourages scholars to think deeply and speak clearly. Beyond teaching, I am a curriculum curator and content designer, always crafting meaningful resources that bring math to life. I am also exploring how thoughtful technology integration can strengthen instruction and support both teachers and students. I am actively pursuing leadership opportunities that allow me to guide professional development, enhance digital learning environments, and contribute to a thriving educational community. This space is where I share ideas, lessons, and reflections from the intersection of classical education, mathematics, and educational innovation.
